When Kelly and Briknie reached out to me again, I couldn’t help but feel an immense sense of joy. A few years ago, I had the honor of capturing their engagement session and, later, their wedding in Puerto Rico. Now, life brought us together for another special milestone: their maternity session. This chapter marks a beautiful new beginning, and there was no better setting to celebrate it than the iconic Rock Creek Park in Washington, D.C.
The Beauty of Autumn at Rock Creek Park
Although autumn is transitioning into winter, nature continues to put on an impressive show. During our session, the warm hues of the leaves and the contrasting evergreen forest created the perfect backdrop. Boulder Bridge, one of the park’s most iconic spots, became the focal point for many of our photos. This historic bridge, with its rustic design and picturesque surroundings, added a unique and romantic touch to the images.
Even after years of being together, Kelly and Briknie still showed a bit of shyness in front of the camera, but that’s part of their charm! With each click, their joy and excitement shone through, and together we captured authentic moments that reflected their anticipation for this new chapter as parents.
